Sleep Testing

A sleep study is often vital to determine what might be occurring during your sleep. It is possible you may have hundreds of sleep disturbances each night that can affect your overall health and feeling of well-being.

In addition to the above, there are several other different types of sleep studies that may be appropriate based upon your history. At the time of your consultation with our sleep specialists we will determine what additional testing, if any, is required.

A Polysomnogram (PSG) is a type of detailed sleep study that is frequently recommended for a comprehensive evaluation of your sleep patterns. A PSG is administered in one of several hospital owned sleep laboratories in the area. This sleep study is performed overnight in a private hotel room like setting to allow for the best experience possible.

A Home Sleep Test (HST) is a type of sleep study that is administered in the comfort your home and is available via Roy Sleep Medicine. Your sleep physician can make a determination if this is an option for you at the time of your initial visit.
